Banana Bread (healthier version)
(Or substitute other fruit for bananas as well, I have tried strawberries and pears and those are really good too.)
1/3 cup butter (or 1/3 cup apple sauce if you are cutting fat)
1/2 cup natural sugarcane sugar (or stevia or other natural sweetener)
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour (or other whole grain flour)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup old bananas
1/2 cup bittersweet or dark chocolate chips
Grease small bread pan. Beat butter, sugar and eggs in small bowl. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda in large bowl. Mash old bananas in small bowl. Add bananas and sugar mixture with dry ingredients. Add chocolate chips. Bake at 350F for 1 hour.
